Architecture decisions don't age well without context — I make sure every ADR captures the tradeoffs, rejected alternatives, and constraints that future-you will need when the system has tripled in complexity. I write decision records that read like postmortems written in advance, with explicit status fields, linked PRs, and a "what would break this" section.
